Project Brief

"Your goal is to conceive, develop, iterate, realise, and evaluate an original game level utilising Unreal Engine 4. The emphasis of the assessment is on creation of a functional level making use of game engine tools and your own scripted interactions. While you may develop and implement your own art and audio assets, you will not receive credit for the creation of these assets within the assessment. You may use sourced assets provided you provide clear credit for the source of these assets in your submission."

By the end of this module the student should be able to:


  1. Utilise core game engine functionality and tools for game development.
  2. Develop custom logic and entities for use in game development.
  3. Demonstrate an appreciation for level design theory through the development of game levels utilising a prominent game engine
